Increasing milk supply for breast feeding at least two babies
Three things affect milk supply: 1) keeping fluids up; 2) trying to keep stresses down, and 3) frequent nursings. One of the ways to help build milk supply is to pump after each feed. Even if you only get 1/2 ounce, save it, freeze it, add to it and within a short time you will have enough breast milk frozen and stored so that someone else can help feed a baby or two. A breast, in truth, never completely empties. It just gets ‘less full.’ Pumping after a feed, including through the night, helps increase milk supply.
